
Known by many as Sakshi-I or Sakshi Gopal Das.
Sakshi-I means the Higher I Witness. The Most I ~ He was initiated into the ancient Vedic Order of the Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya, which teaches and practices the ancient (Hari-Nama) Mantra Meditation of Sacred Chanting of Holy Names for Spiritual Healing and Enlightenment. Has been living Rastafari Natural Mystic Lifestyle and Vegetarian for over 10 years.
He lived and studied with many Elders and Mystics (including Ras Pidow, Dr James E Mumford, Srila Turiya Das Mahasaya and more). Lived and studied at several Ashrams, Temples, and Binghi Camps across North America, Jamaica, Hawaii, and India. In the summers of 2002 and 2003 he traveled across N. America with a traveling cultural festival called “The Festival of India” in which he was a main contributer of set-up and break-down, cultural plays, food distribution, chariot-parading, and sacred chanting.
He has been in several musical projects, including: Baraka, Santos and the Saints, The Nyahbinghi Livity Choir, Indiana University African American Choral Ensemble, Kuru Dynasty, La Onda, Roots Groundation Family, Parrhesia and more.
Sakshi has led Sacred Chants, Nyahbinghi, and Kirtan/Bhajans at many cultural festivals, gatherings, and yoga centers around the US, Hawaii, and India for over 10 years.
A student at Indiana University, with an individualized major called: Therapeutic Applications of Myth, Music, Yoga, and Multi-Media. He is also working presently on a Bachlors in Parapsychic Sciences at the American Institute of Holistic Theology (AIHT).
Reiki and Sound Healer, Inspired Poet, Singer, and Musician. Sakshi has formed a local ministry and leads group healing sessions called Kirtan and Bhakti Yoga workshops as well as “Toning the Chakras” which incorporates Vocal Toning to Balance the Chakras.
Master-Certified Storytime/Mythic Yoga Teacher, Sakshi leads childrens’ Storytime Yoga classes, incorporating storytelling, yoga, and music. Sakshi also specializes in teaching adults how to lead a Storytime Yoga class, as well as leading advanced journey’s with Mythic Yoga and Kirtan workshops for all ages. Sakshi has learned Storytime/Mythic Yoga advanced training with Storytime Yoga founder, Sydney Solis.
Sakshi was recently blessed with Baraka to perform at the Art of Living Silver Jubilee, which was one of the largest Interfaith and Human Values conferences in history (hosting 2.5 million people), in Bangalore, India in Febuary 2006. Baraka performed to an audience over 100,000 strong!
Sakshi is a Sound Healer, Reiki Master, Aromatherapist, Master-Certified Storytime/Mythic Yoga Teacher and Kirtaniya/Musician.
